All plans main productions are provided in advance and you are not invoiced until you have received these plans and confirmed that they are suitably fit for your requirement.

About this application

This online application has been specifically designed for New Zealand to make all aspects of getting a building consent much easier than the current traditional system. First came the wheel, then electricity, next came the computer, followed by the internet and now PlansMachine.

Building consents

We will provide you with the full plan set collection of information with the building consent also being issued with it from your local council. As part of this application, we will firstly connect you with quotes (three from each) from the required local third party additional information providers.

You draw your floor plans

Step 2:
We check your preliminary plan for design efficiency and produce your site plan

Step 3a:
We develop your full plan set and send it to you for your viewing

Step 3b:
You pay for the full plan set. We guarantee that applicable requests for further information from the council is pre paid for and that the building consent approval is guaranteed

Step 4:
We guide you through gathering all required third party information

Step 5a:
We submit you building consent application

Step 5b:
We will respond to the council's request for further information and guarantee that your building consent is issued

Step 5c:
You pay for us acting on behalf as the building consent application agent

Step 1:
Completely free

Step 2:
$60 + GST for design efficiency analysis. $160 + GST for site plan production if it is required

Step 3:
$1990 + GST for houses up to 100m² and $15 + GST for every m² bigger. Extra design features will slightly increase the price

Steps 4 & 5:
$400 + GST, you may also complete this process yourself, but we will still deal with the council on your behalf regarding any applicable requests for further information from them
